DISCLAIMER
I am an FAA-licensed commercial drone pilot (CFR Title 14 / Chapter I / Subchapter F / Part 107 – “Small Unmanned Aircraft System”) and operate a drone registered with the FAA. When operating in controlled (i.e., restricted) airspace, I secure a LAANC (Low Altitude Authorization and Notification Capability) authorization through the FAA (§107.41) and ATC (Air Traffic Control) has my contact information should there be an immediate need for me to cease operations. I operate the drone below 400 feet AGL (§ 107.51(b)) and below 500 feet of clouds (§107.51(d)(1)), maintain visual line of sight (§107.31), do not exceed 87 knots (§107.51(a)), and ensure visibility is greater than 3 statute miles (§107.51(c)). For flights occurring during civil twilight or at night, the drone is equipped with anti-collision lighting visible for at least 3 statute miles with a flash rate sufficient to avoid a collision (§107.29(b)).
